Step 3: MEASURE WALL, FRAMES AND PRE-ARRANGE ON THE FLOOR

If you don’t know your frame sizes, it’s important to measure them and write them at the back of your frame (optional).

Be as precise as possible, and make sure you measure consistently and straight from the outside edges.

NEXT, measure the wall you plan to hang your picture frames, to have an idea if the space is enough to hang, arrange and setup your wall gallery.

By using a painter’s tape you have the flexibility to not only transfer the visual, but it’s also easy to make adjustments and remove.

Note: Use a slim size brand of painter’s tape to minimize the chance of damage when removing or rearrange it.

Make sure you use the exact measurements of the picture frames.
Make sure you make note of which spot on the wall goes with which frame size.
Either use of a pencil to write on the painter’s tape for reference.
Use a Masking Tape if you don’t have a Painters Tape.
Use a Ruler and/or a Spirit Level to help get straight lines and edges.

Step 6: DETERMINE WHERE TO NAIL.

To determine the perfect spot for your nails, you have to measure the distance of the hanging hook (on the back of the frame) from the top of the frame.

NEXT, measure this same distance from the top edge of your painter’s tape (with the corresponding location of each frame); make a clear pencil mark at this spot.

Repeat the process to determine the “Nailing Spot” for other picture frames.

Step 7: IT’S HAMMER TIME

DON’T…

I repeat!

Don’t, hammer all your nails at once.

Hammer a nail and hang one frame at a time and hang more picture frame as you go.

That way, if you had made a mistake, you only have to redo a single nail, not an entire wall of nail holes.
